01 / ABOUT

Curious about the why behind the numbers.

I’m pursuing an M.S. in Data Science and Analytics at California State University, Chico, after earning a B.S. in Applied Statistics from California State University, Long Beach. My work connects careful data preparation with models and visual explanations that people can use.

From evaluating housing markets and economic indicators to improving business reporting, I enjoy following a question from messy data to a clear finding.

02 / SELECTED WORK

Projects that connect
data and context.

Research and analysis built around real questions, transparent methods, and useful results.

PROJECT 01RESEARCH · MODELING

U.S. Housing Market & Macroeconomic Analysis

I combined housing prices from seven states with more than 10 economic indicators, then used several statistical models to study how economic conditions relate to housing markets. The analysis helped identify regional patterns and compare how different models captured those relationships.

PROJECT 02EXPLORATION · VISUALIZATION

Financial Market & Cryptocurrency Analysis

I analyzed historical stock and cryptocurrency data to compare market trends, sector rotation, and relationships between assets. Charts and correlation analysis helped reveal investment patterns and made those relationships easier to explain.

UNDERGRADUATE WORK

Earlier work in applied statistics.

Presentations from my undergraduate studies at California State University, Long Beach.

01 / WEATHER MODELING

Seattle Weather Analysis: Rain, Sun, or Snow?

I used a generalized logit model in SAS and R to examine how temperature, precipitation, and wind relate to rain, sun, or snow in Seattle. In this small dataset, precipitation was the clearest indicator of rain, while minimum temperature helped distinguish snow.

02 / FINANCIAL MODELING

Stock Price Analysis Using GBM & OU Model

I compared Intel, AMD, and Netflix stock data in R, estimated model parameters, and simulated Intel and AMD prices with an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process. Intel and AMD log returns had a stronger correlation (0.46) than either had with Netflix (about 0.27).
